I was invited to be event host and keynote speaker at an Icelandic Supply Chain conference in September 2024.
The client and their delegates were both motivated and inspired.
"One of the biggest challenges I faced was building the confidence to present in front of a large in-person audience. While I usually facilitate presentations in an online setting, standing in front of 100+ people felt like a completely different experience.
Working with Paul really helped me overcome that barrier. One of the key pieces of advice that stayed with me was “practice makes it perfect.” It’s something we have all heard before, but applying it intentionally made a real difference.
One of the sentences that stuck in my head was: “Remember, the first 2 minutes of your presentation are most important, it sets the tone, pace and energy for the entire session”. And this is exactly what I did, to get that emotional bond with audience...cracked a joke about flight from home to the US being an extraordinary experience...sarcasm is my love language!
Our collaboration also helped me manage the anxiety and overthinking that I would typically experience.
Overall, working with Paul helped me build confidence, refine my presentation skills, and approach public speaking in a much more natural and controlled way.
